Our Mission and Vision

Mission: Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will gather our community around the Word and Sacraments of Christ, grow in grace and knowledge of God together, and sow the peace and love of God abroad.

Vision: Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will…

  • Edify people in knowledge of the Bible and the Small Catechism for a strong and informed faith in Christ Jesus the Lord;
    2 Timothy 1:13- Follow the pattern of sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
  • Treasure and propagate historic and reverent forms of worship for all families and cultures;
    Colossians 3:16- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, thankfulness in your hearts to God.
  • Support the community with works of mercy that are pro-life, pro-family, respectful of human dignity, and increase human flourishing
    Philippians 2:5- Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
  • Create a sympathetic and united Christian community among Heritage Americans, Hispanics, and Burmese
    1 Peter 3:8- Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.

So how do we do that?

JOIN US

We gather around the Word of Jesus Christ, hearing the Bible several times a week, and receiving the mysterious gifts of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (the Sacraments).

We grow in grace and knowledge of God together, as the Gospel transforms us into the image of Christ, who is perfect love and truth, and we see Him more and more in the Scriptures, working in the world, and working through each other.

We sow the peace and love of God in our community, through acts of mercy and charity, by looking out for the good of our neighbors, our city, our country, and the world.

Sundays:

8:00AM- Pastor arrives, available to hear Confession

9:00AM- the Divine Service with Holy Communion- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

10:30AM- Adult Classes and Sunday School for Elementary Children- English

Romans 10:6-11

6 But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
