The quilters are still meeting on Saturdays in the Hoge Hall. We are in steady need of more people to help us. We now only have 5 who help us, one of which is in a rehab facility. We all hope that we will have her back shortly. The other person helps when she can get here. That basically leaves only 3 for right now.
We are grateful to the board of Evangelism for backing us, as well as the board of Human concerns, who also help us out. It is greatly appreciated.
We will continue to meet , and a few of these meetings will take place at the rehab center where our co-sewer Joanne Sala is currently at. Any questions, you can call either Heidi, or Judy.
I can’t believe we are already going into the month of February. Time sure has a way of flying on by. I just took down the Christmas decorations, and now it will be Valentine ’s Day soon.
The group has 6 quilts done, and has the last one of the tops to put together. Our main top maker is Joanne, and she is the one in rehab. So, please keep her in your prayers so that she can return to us soon. She is greatly missed, not only for her talent but for her friendship and the fun she brings to the group.
We have some patterns that look simple, but we could use the help in cutting out the material squares and triangles. Please find it in your heart to come and join us.
There is never a church function that food is not served. We all take turns in bringing in something to eat. Many times it is sandwiches, or some recipe we would like others to try. It is never anything fancy. Coffee is always hot, and the laughter comes with it. All for free, and a good feeling included in doing something for others. If you have any questions, you can either talk to Heidi or Judy at church after the first service, or give us a call. Our numbers are in the directory.
Peace to all,
Christy, Heidi, Jean,Joanne,Judy
