Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church was planted as a new congregation in 1895, when it was known as Jehovah Lutheran Church. From our first site on 12th and Manitoba, our relocation to 28th and Manitoba (what is now known as Kinnickinnic River Parkway) to our current home at 30th and Oklahoma, Grace has existed to nurture the spiritual needs of our near South side community.
Our mission statement says it best:
Our calling is to embody the love of Christ
in all we do.
This means we will proclaim
the Good News of God’s grace,
teach His Word,
and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ
in service with and for others.
